Cheesy 90s R& B

Ericka has let me borrow her "Tunes to Go" CD (which, BTW, may cause me to temporarily do away with my Wal-Mart boycott just so I can get one) and Track #6 is "Sensitivity" sung by the always skinny and always awesome Ralph Tresvant, formerly and now once again of New Edition. I love that song beyond reason and have had it on repeat for the last two days. It is playing in my head as we speak. There is nothing like cheesy 90s R&B - "All I Do Is Think of You", anyone? Okay, comment away - what's your favorite cheesy R&B?

Oh, oh, oh. I LOVE cheesy 90s R&B. I just heard the All 4 One "I Swear" on the way home from school last night. LMAO. However, nobody-but nobody!-beats Blackstreet!!! C-lass-ic!!

Meloni and I actually went to see Blackstreet in concert, along with the first New Edition reunion. It sucked all kinds of butt.

Oh, yeah! I remember that concert. Ralph was "sick" and couldn't perform, so they had Bobby fill in for him even though he couldn't hit the high notes. Keith Sweat also performed, as did the solo acts from New Edition. The funny thing is, I never could remember what other group was there. I guess they were THAT bad!!!

I'm not one to pick "favorites", but I do love cheesy 90s R&B. I've also been known to get excited about 80s music! (Don't talk about me too bad!!!)

Meloni! You sound just as excellent as Toya has always claimed.

Come on, girls, you KNOW you love a little "No diggity!"

More proof that Mel and I are equally cheesy: We both bought the Blackstreet concert t-shirts and proudly sported them around as if attending that wack-ass concert was the height of cool! OMG - we SUCKED!

BTW - Yes, Melon Ball is quite as excellent as I always say she is!

See, Mel - I really *do* love you and say nice things about you! So, move back up here . . . PLEASE! Having you live in Florida sucks more than a little bit!

recently, I've been listening to an old Jodeci CD (borrowed from a friend who had MORE than one copy!) and I've been rocking FEENIN' ever since! How MUCH that used to be MY JAM is ridiculous! Back when I LOVED Mr. Dalvin and was OVER Devante, who had started to slip...and was using that "computer love" synthesizer thing WAY too much!

Girl, I was *so* in love with Mr. Dalvin! Whoo! DeVante was clearly a crackhead. His eyes were always bloodshot and I swear he was drooling half the time.

"Forever My Lady" was such a good album!

I was driving along in my car, when what comes on the radio? "Shh...don't talk, just listen". I hollered!!! Good thing Ant wasn't in the car with me this time. He likes to laugh at me when I get all excited about those "old" songs!

I'm late, but Kee and I saw New Edition (with Brian McKnight) and they were awesome. We danced so hard, we probably lost weight. We sure did sweat enough. I did see Blackstreet recently (at a cabaret style concert, if you will) and they were butt. I mean, Teddy Riley was the only original member there. The rest were look-alikes. Where is Dave Hollister? And oh, yes, how much do I love the Jodeci CD. My favorite is "Let's Be Alone." I know that's the hoook; I don't know if that's the title, but that is my jam.
